Emarat Maritime Fleet Strength
In its early days, Emarat was small in scale. It focused on carrying primarily agricultural commodities. But with the changing times and growth in its scale of operations, the company decided to shift its focus from agro products to dry bulk and energy-related products. It got hold of a bulk carrier in 2001 & its first tanker 5 years later.
Till 2011, Emarat went on a carrier acquisition spree. Today, the company’s arsenal consists of 10 vessels – 4 bulk carrying ones (55000 to 61000 dwt) and 6 Aframax tankers. All the vessels are equipped with the latest technologies for safe, smooth, and fast navigation & crew safety. Rigorous maintenance ensures that the ships are always at their highest levels of efficiency. Regular training is provided to the crew and onshore personnel to make them stay updated about the prevailing best practices in the global commercial shipping sector.
Management
Led by Capt. Jitendra Misra, Emarat has carved a niche for itself as one of the premium shipping service providers in the entire region. Capt. Misra comes with almost 5 decades of experience in the shipping industry in India & abroad. He has been the MD of Emarat for more than 20 years.
